Amphore 1600L
Handmade wine amphora with a maximum capacity of 1600L. The craftsmanship methods used to produce the amphorae may affect their capacity by ±5%. The 1600L amphora includes an airtight ceramic lid. All our amphorae are equipped with a simple but very effective patented closure system. To optimize the winemaking process, we have some specific accessories available for the 1600L amphora.

Before leaving the warehouse, the amphoras has passed a 48 hours leakproofness test. We ask you to repeat the test once the amphora arrives in your winery to ensure any possible damage caused by transportation. If you identify any kind of anomaly, please, contact our of f ice. We will provide an apropriate replacement. Before first use, we recommend you to rinse the amphora with plenty of water to remove dust and dirt usually due to its transport and storage.

Rinse the amphora with plenty of water.
— Cleaning
TAVA amphoras were designed to make the cleaning operations easy and ef f icient. You can use:
- Acid cleaners;
- Basic products (detergents);
- High temperature (not recommended in case of metal par ts present).
— Storage
If the amphora should be left empty for a while, we recommend complete drying af ter the washing procedure.

Tava amphorae are protected by Patent for Utility Model 0000281958.
Therefore the characteristics of the amphora and the closure system are
unique and cannot be replicated by competitors.
