Cleaning and sanitizing have always played a critical role in winemaking processes. This is especially the case when using amphorae or wine vessels made of ceramic materials, given that the porous surfaces are particularly subject to contamination and therefore more difficult to clean effectively.

Precisely to meet this need, and thanks to its extensive experience with ceramics, Tava has developed Melyo, an enzymatic detergent. Together with its specific protocol for use, Melyo enables winemakers to easily achieve excellent results in cleaning and sanitizing amphorae, while avoiding the use of hazardous substances from a chemical standpoint.
